thrift stars! (my pix from wardrobe remix)

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT SUMMER FASHION THIS YEAR
    (my pix from wardrobe remix):

candy stripes and pin stripes!
stripes suspenders
i never would have thought of this combo, but it’s perfect on her.
stripey tee
don’t look so glum! you’re a young and in technicolor!
kitten tee and striped skinnies
neon kittens are hip??? i believe.

loose and floaty cropped shortish-sleeved blousey thingies used for layering!

lovely!! i kind of want to punch her right in the face. the jeans are sent from heaven!

there are way too many pretty girls in vancouver. love the shoes.
(these 2 photos from the commodified)

layered jumpers!
4th of july romper
could her hair be any cuter?? seriously about to start puking up bunny rabbits.
jumper
who knew an old grampa v-neck could look so hot? i want her hair.
glasses and stripes
super sweet! i need some white raybans.
striped apron jumper
this girl is so striking, it took me a while to notice the wicked wheels behind her. love the white jazz shoes.
jumper
this girl knows how to properly rock a jumper.

dresses, dresses, dresses!

thrift store dress and ankle boots
the accessories are making me swoon: glasses, necklace, boots, clutch!
dress
this dress is amazing!
dress layered over skirt
great way to lengthen a too short mini-dress- wear it over a circle skirt!
white sundress
once again, the accessories make the outfit. i love the opaque tights with the sandals.

short, short shorts!
sailor shorts high waist
these shorts look a lot like my sailor shorts, but mine have loads more buttons. i have to undo a minimum of 10 buttons to get them off. therefore? i can never wear them to a bar. and just so you know? oversize cardi’s are an absolute MUST. i wear mine constantly.
short shorts
these shorts are killing me. gigantic patch pockets to put the world in!
adorable
ok seriously, stop being so damn adorable.

wacky prints and polka dots!
mixed prints and yellow flats
how many times have i seen that exact sweater in a thrift store and didn’t look twice? so cute.

adorable couple
ok, NOW i’m puking up bunny rabbits. i want to put them both in my gigantic patch pockets and take them home with me.

  2. all have lovely style….but this ever growing trend of these damn women posing like shy little girls…slouched & toes pointed in ICK! so unflattering

  3. there are only 2 or 3 outfits on here that look decent, and they are still nothing special.

the rest are pretty hideous and if i saw someone walking down the street wearing one, i would have a hard time not laughing…

  4. I just wanted to say that while fashion is not my forte that I loved reading all of your captions. It was wonderful to read someone speaking positively about other people as opposed to the snide comments you read on so many blogs. You might be the sweetest woman on the internet.

I will be back to read you again.

  5. A few of them are *ok*. They do make me wanna start puking, but my it’s my dinner that’s gonna come up, not a bunny. Blegh… There are reasons that people give their clothes to thrift stores. Either they were too small, or they were butt ugly. The latter seems to be this case.
    Siiincerely,
    JBear

  6. For the life of me I can’t see how this looks good. Mismatched patterns and unflattering, not-fitting clothes. Of course, that’s just my opinion.

  7. These looks would all go over very well in Seattle! I personally love the layerd look no matter what you are layering; Tanks, Skirts, Jumpers…. These are great examples!

I think you are dead on with your trend spotting and should definitely consider posting some of these on http://www.styledujour.com in the Trends section.

Keep up the good work. We are big fans!

  8. Seriously, can you siphon through wardrobe remix regularly for me? I love browsing the collection, but this is a gem of selections.

  9. Charming as always, mi amiga! I was happy to see the girl wearing the circle skirt under a shortie dress; as a 40something who’s a little round in the thigh,I don’t choose to wear minis alone, but there’s so many amazing ones! I’ve contemplated this very solution. Off to the thrift stores and/or my trusty sewing machine. Arriba the underskirt!

  10. thank you for your riveting insights, bunny rabbit, but it looks like you may be alone in your opinion. it turns out that this is now (far and away) my most popular post to date!

  11. This is far and away the ugliest collection of outfits I have ever seen. There is absolutely nothing original or (god forbid) flattering, about any of them. You know, sometimes there’s a darned good reason your grandmother threw it away…it was UGLY!

    11. bunny rabbit on July 8th, 2007 at 10:03 pm
  12. i could just snatch those little boots off of the first girl under dresses, dresses, dresses!

  13. that last picture is way adorable, and all of the girls in the pictures have such great style!
