eBay Panic Party!: vintage oxfords and brogues

if you’re anything like me, you’re pining away with desire for the perfect pair of vintage brogues, perfect for fall fashionizing. gimme!

hurry and get ‘em on ebay while they’re still hot! and i mean HAWT.

what’s that you ask?
oh, of course i’m not evil enough to intentionally try to drive the price up on these because i can’t have them all. well yes, i did happen to leave out the wickedest pair in size 7.5, but it was by accident, i swear.

these are in order of auctions ending first, check it:

perfect with tights or trousers, menswear-inspired Miu Miu’s! love the sculptural heel:

tan wingtips
cream and tan Salvatore Ferragamo wingtips! size US 7, currently at $9.99 and ending in 7 hours!

you can SO wear these after labour day. try ‘em with black tights, a shift and a cinched waistcoat for fall:

white Calvin Klein suede oxfords, size US 8 and currently at only $6.50 with 18 hours left!

these are marked as size 10, but are probably closer to an 8.5. i am beyond in love with them, but i’m only a 7.5, so i’m going to go cry now…
open leather oxfords
currently at $9.99 and ending in 22 hours!

black woven
black woven leather brogues! oh you lucky size 10s! these are currently at $17.99 with 1 day left

i have a pair almost exactly like these and i LIVE in them.
woven brown
size us 9 woven brown Dr. Scholl’s jazz oxfords. currently at $4.99 and ending in 1 day, 2 hours

these are obviously not vintage, but they’re on sale for the Buy It Now price of only $7.99!

1960s mint condition honey patent heeled brogues, size 7.5. currently at $9.99 with 9 days to go.

quick hip tip: when buying vintage shoes online, make sure you get shoe measurements and compare them to similar shoes that fit! vintage sizes can vary greatly. also, if they’re pointy enough to impale a squirrel, make sure you buy a 1/2 size (or at least a 2cm) larger.

  2. i’ve bought two pairs in the last month (grey & brown) & am busy hunting for some more! a few years ago they wouldn’t have appealed or gone with anything in my wardrobe at all, but lately my style has been toughening up a little & they fit in perfectly. i love how they add a naughty edge to a good girl outfit & can effectively tether a more floaty dress.

  3. I bought a pair of brogues off amazon last fall that were unfortunately fake leather and made my feet feel like they were going to fall off every time I wore them. I check ebay periodically but always come up empty-handed. The last pair are fabulous but I really can’t justify the exorbitant price I’m sure they’ll end up being. Sigh.

  5. Your and other bloggers wonderful brogues are making me want some, but I know I’d probably never wear them. They feel too structured and mature for me, although I’ve been known to change my mind…
