‘tween streetstyle! reader submission

img_1031.jpg

this adorable little woodsprite is named Zoe. she’s only 14, but she single-handedly made her minidress in a sweet laundry-themed print and paired it fearlessly with polka-dot espadrilles. Zoe, you are painfully hip. when i was your age, i looked like oliver freaking twist.
dress: handmade by Zoe
belt: Charlotte Russe $6
shoes: Target $12

thanks, Zoe!

  2. Great fit, proportion, and a mod print to boot…a lovely dress, Zoe! Will we be seeing you on Project Runway in a few years???

  3. i so hardly doubt you looked like oliver twist! regardless… great job zoe! i can only imagine how utterly chic you’ll be when you’re old hags like us! (just kidding… well, maybe) ;)

  4. Gosh, at 14 my style claim-to-fame was wearing actual clothes instead of sweats to school. Zoe sort of owns my life. I wish I could sew, I’m so jealous of people who can make their own clothes. One day I’ll learn, and then maybe I’ll be 1/8 as rad as her.

  5. Knowing how to sew is a very valuable skill. It’s also how Gwen Stefani got her start in fashion. Very cute, Zoe!

  6. Really cute dress - I’m impressed that Zoe made it herself!

  7. I wish i had it this together at her age. What a great job with the dress, and what a cute ensemble. Very original.

  8. Wow, Zoe has a very well developed sense of personal style for 14. And to top it off she’s a designer and a seamstress too. Go, Zoe! Thanks for sharing your look and style.

  9. I envy this girl! She’s off to such a good start. I didn’t develop a “style” of my own until well into high school, though uniforms didn’t help.
