All Hallows Eve and Amber

Went to a costume party last night a the home of our dearest friends. My hubby and I went as and Marcus Antonius and Cleopatra (Liz Taylor’s), respectively. Amber went as Edie Sedgwick. She pieced hers together from thrift store finds. Doesn’t she look EXACTLY like her???? Danny and I rented ours. We had no idea going in what we wanted to be, but I saw that dress and said, “I MUST wear that!” FYI, if you’re in Sacramento, Broadway Costumes is THE place. It’s owned by a darling couple. The wife makes elaborate costumes and masks and the husband sells them with aplomb. They let us take them home 2 weeks early and it just sat there burning a hole in my closet. I kept wanting to play dress up with it.
EDIT: Thanks, Sis! Woulda been better if my eyelashes had worked, though. Still got Actual Halloween to achieve perfection! -Amber

You guys look awesome! If only the real Cleopatra and Edie Sedgwick had met eachother. I think they may have been good friends.

I was Edie for Halloween too! Only one person knew who I was, though. Sad. Good to know there are others out there!
I’m just sorry there isn’t a full-length picture. I had a sequined black dress on, with a tunic with Edie’s face on it underneath, black tights, and black patent heels. I also carried around a bottle of wine, a chanpagne flute, and a cigarette holder. It was fancy.
Love the blog! Endlessly entertaining. It’s made me want to join wardrobe remix.
xoxo!

Fabulous costumes and I recognized Edie right away. She looks just like her in the first photo.

my boyfriend and I were Bonnie and Clyde. At the party we went to there was a couple dressed as Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol, so I guess it was a popular idea this year? But I could tell right away Amber was Edie. Oh and nice Cleopatra too. Fantastic job ladies!
