i realized last night that my unlikely style icons are the ladies from ‘ferris bueller’s day off.’ sloane petersen (mia sara) and ferris’s little sister jeanie (jennifer grey) have some rockin’ outfits! i especially love sloane’s white leather fringed jacket. i couldn’t find any pictures of their outfits online, but pay attention to them when you watch the movie sometime. jeanie’s got the idea with high-waisted pants!

Oh, film is one of my favorite places to glean inspiration. I think I tend to lean toward a strange mix of Sophia Coppola and John Waters in sartorial aesthetic. Ha. But I must say, though I myself don’t execute it on a daily basis, the Annie Hall look is one that I admire.

I enjoyed the fashion translation and I must say that Diane Keaton is one of my favorite movie stars of all time. I like her conservative, quirky sense of style – -it seems to work well for her.
