We’re working on some big changes for Painfully Hip (finally a new masthead!) which will hopefully be up sometime next week!  Or maybe Jeebus can help me? In the name of all that is Christmas, UPDATE: Only 9 days left on our Painfully Hip DIY contest!  The theme this week seems to be mostly neutrals with unexpected accents, for some reason.
i am absolutely fawning over big prints lately! prints that we’re used to seeing on a small scale are blowing up! houndstooth was always meant to be a small, discreet, subtle pattern. but lately i’ve been seeing it audaciously, graphicly oversized…

Since Amber and I are both self-employed, we like to have a Twin Day every once in a while and do silly decadent stuff like watch Project Runway on Youtube, spend hours in the clearance section at Target, go to Yoga class, go thrifting (although we always fight over stuff), eat mexican food, and get dressed up and take pictures on a Wednesday while everyone else is zoning out at their desk jobs and getting yelled at for not washing the coffee pot in the staff room. On this particular rainy day, I wore:
