thrift stars of the week! 11 Dec 07
The theme this week seems to be mostly neutrals with unexpected accents, for some reason.
Here are my favorite wardrobe remixers this week…

what a brilliant layering effect! i never would have thought of that! …and that’s why i will never be a thrift star. sigh…

ah the golden hour, perfect for making a simple little vintage dress look like something dreams are made of.

vintagesocietygirl is the master of contrast. beautiful.

cute and cozy come to terms with one another.

this dress is from h&m! and i was about to have a minor aneurism trying to contemplate such thrifting luck. i’m pretty sure the little beige dress will be the new LBD this year.

i’ve never wanted a pair of white jeans so badly in my life. or not since 7th grade anyway. oh jiminy, are you seeing the fit of that beyond perfect leather jacket?!

this iconic photo gives me simultaneous flashbacks of 3 different movies: Rosemary’s Baby, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and the Wizard of Oz.

IvyFrozen is OWNING “bullfighter chic!” good lord in heaven, can she pull off anything?

red and purple, a royally hip combo. the shoes with the tights! heaven.

i love this outfit so much that i had to include the outerwear photo as well:

I’m so glad someone has finally appreciated my tights/shoes combo as I’ve been getting nothing but negative comments about it on my blog :]
PS
Great site! It’s so easy to miss out some of the wonderful outfits in the WR pool - thanks for fishing them out!

Wow! So many great looks! I think I may be having an aneurysm too. Love the first one, and Vintage Society Girl, and that incredible 60s silver dress! Eeep! The last two. Are. Perfect. I feel so inadequate right now.

Hey, I love checking out your postings for wardrobe inspiration. Have you ever thought about writing about vintage fragrances? Or vintage-inspired fragrances? I’ve seen a few out - the latest being Diesel’s Fuel For Life, which comes wrapped in chains, leather and vintage lace… Food for thought maybe? Keep up the good work!

I have been checking this site out for about 2 months and have never commented, but I had to put a lil somethin somethin for chick in the white pants and leather jacket. I want to steal that outfit and hang it up in my room…you can’t wear it though, it can only be inspiration.
And the silver dress is totally rosemary’s baby, breakfast at Tiffany’s, and wizard of ozziness all rolled into one darling shimmer of cuteness.
