I’m not a big fragrance person. Which is weird because I do tend to have an over-developed sense of smell. I guess I’m not usually into the girly fragrances like Pleasures and Chanel. Floral, romantic and musky is just not me. I’m picky and I tend to lean more towards cleaner, edgier, spicier, citrus flavors like Lancome’s AromaTonic or CK One. Guess I’m sort of a tomboy that way.
So when lovely Jennifer emailed me asking me if I’d like to review Diesel’s self-proclaimed “sensual” and “edgy” Fuel for Life, I was apprehensive but intrigued. I figured if it’s from Diesel, it must have some of their signature edge.
Wrong! It’s the most feminine sent I’ve whiffed in a long time. It’s floral and sweet without a hint of spice or citrus. Not what I was expecting at all!
And yet….?
I can’t get enough of it. I think about it all the time. It’s like a boy I’ve been crushing on who I’m trying not to seem to eager to be with and I keep dialing his number and then hanging up. I keep looking over at that lovely crocheted lace-clad bottle and wanting it to be all over me.

That being said, despite it’s industrial-sounding name it is overly precious-smelling and the crocheted sock thingama is a bit fussy (it sometimes slides around whilst trying to grip and spray it). But according to Eve’s husband, the scent is rather lust-inducing. So I’m just saying, be prepared. When it rains, it pours.
