I went thrifting today and looking into my bag, had the wacky inclination to wear two of the new acquisitions together. I swear I tried to put it out of my head but I think I might actually leave the house wearing this:

brown/blue print sundress with lace inserts, thrifted: $2.99
khaki/orange print cardi with pockets (Isaac Mizrahi for Target), thrifted: $2.99
wooly leggings, some crappy mall store: $3
flat Nine West galoshes, Winners: $100 (years ago) and so worth it
woven leather bag, thrifted: $3
well… maybe not tonight, but soon.

it works!! the yare both neutrals and compliments each other so well. I say go for it and be daring!!
That is an awesome outfit!! If I were you I’d wear it everywhere!
agreed, I definitely hope you leave your house pronto. you look glorious.
Please, please, please wear it out! The patterns, though clashing, look really great together. And what a way to make orange and black look good! I always end up looking like I’m on the way to a football game at my old high school–we were the Tigers…
I’m in Ny too but I never found such great treasures.I guess I don’t have the “know how” on how to look for them.
This DEFINITELY works. I love clashing prints
I love it! I’m always wary of mixing prints, but I think yu did a great job and now I kinda want to try myself.
i love you, you’re alway thrifting but you come
home looking like u spent like hundreds of buks of clothes!
Whoops, there goes my metaphor! I just read the description and see that it’s blue and brown. Well, I like blue and brown best anyway
.
um, those 2 prints do work together…..not all
do….so when it happens, a girl must do it !
DARLING outfit!
seriously!
you pull it all off quite well!
Mixing prints is tough, it looks great here though. Please wear this out.
i am not a print person, but i like it!
nothing necessarily matches, it just goes. i love outfits like that. the design of the cardi and the dress are really darling together. hot stuff. =D i’m insanely jealous of the cost too.
*Love* it. You look fantastic.
I LOVE this outfit! Can’t get enough of thrifty vintage finds! I’m not having any luck subscribing to the rss feed- Is anyone else having this problem?
