RAD-OLESCENTS!: Wardrobe-Remix Teen-Style Picks

While sifting through wardrobe remix, Amber and I were surprised at the number of teen mixers that had cropped up recently. They are so creative and adorable! Bits and Bobbins has created an inspiration and creative outlet for these beautiful girls and is quite literally shaping the next generation of fashion. These girls are playing dress-up like they should be instead of getting into other dangerous shenanigans. Wow.

All I have to say, girls is: no matter how much the sheep want to make fun of you for taking a risk and, I don’t know, being an individual, DON’T STOP! YOU ROCK! Rock your leg warmers, crazy haircuts, sassy poses, exotic layering and random excessories!! I wish I did, instead of letting Kristi Wheeler belittle me into throwing away my favorite pair of palazzo pants in 7th grade.

(Photos aren’t all of teens, but are good examples of teen-appropriate chic!)

  1. I’m in love with outfits #1,#4 + #6. This entire inspires me to be a more stylish teenager. You should do more Wardrobe Remix things like this in the future. I LOVE this site.

  4. Hey, thanks for featuring me!
I don’t know what I’d do if I had to dress like everyone else in my school!

  5. Thanks for mentioning me in your posts. Unfortunately I had to wear a uniform whilst in high school so I could never show my style then. University helped bring it all out though!

  7. I wish I’d been that brave when I was a teen - never too late to start though, is it?

  8. Whoa, I know the girl in the fourth and third to last photos. Weird.

Seeing girls my age who dress well make me feel inspired/poorly dressed at the same time. I think I like the inspired part better :D

  9. i was used here too, and im 20, but eve does state not all are in teens, but give a good example. im proud to say that in high school especialy my senior year i dressed how i wanted to. a compleatly new and differnt outfit every day, never afraid to wear anything. i used to be the years pervious to that, but that year i was fearless. and thank all that is holy, still am. and i am so happy so many young girls do the same.

  11. These are all such fabulous outfits, if only i had the kind of style these girls do when i was in high school *sigh*

My favourite is the girl with the red cardi, belt around the waist and black hat, she looks awesome :D

  12. I love her style, too, but TheNewClothesHorse is actually in her 20’s, and in college. Not that I’m sure she doesn’t get mistaken for a teen often, as I recall from her blog, but she’s definitely out of the high-school-style range.

  13. Right on! When I was in high school there was a select few girls that used to yell “freak!” at me in the hallway as I walked by rocking my old man thrift store plaid pants and other vintage goodies. But you know what, it actually made me that much happier to be me.
