Holy cannelloni.
If there are two Top Things I love in this crazy world that both start with an S, they would be San Francisco and Shopping. Which is why, when the San Francisco Visitors Bureau offered me (and four other bloggers) one of their patented Stay & Shop SF packages the weekend before I was due back in California, I sure as hell changed my plane ticket double-quick-like.
What to do? What a question. Having lived only 1.5 hours out of the city for a third of my life, I’ve come to know this city and its multifarious wiles like a good friend. And while I know I have barely scratched the skin of its numerous diversions and plan to dig deeper on this trip, here are a few of many unmissable places I get homesick for when I’m away.

Ohh I wanna check what you goodies you bought.

My favorite cheap eats place in SF is Saigon Sandwich, 560 Larkin. It’s a Vietnamese banh mi sandwich shop, definitely a hole-in-the-wall type place. Sandwiches are less than $3 and full of meat/tofu, veggies, and amazing sauces and seasoning. I go to college across the country, and Saigon Sandwiches haunt my dreams when I can’t have them. Go go go!
Lucky lady. Have fun the city looks beautiful.

My sister and her hubby are visiting from PA and I really really want different things to do besides the usual things. No broadway strip clubs, please..LOL.. but Teatro Zinzanni is terrific, and was wondering if there are other hidden treasures in San Francisco (or the bay area) that I could explore?
I hope that i get the chance to visit San Francisco one day.
I like the song about it =] we are going to san francisco…Global deejays.

On the other hand, if you brush off the first few purchases and just say “don’t do it again”, they’ll learn that you’re a softy and that the consequences will likely not be proportionate.
Never mean, always playful, and having fun by laughing with, rather than laughing at, it’s a one-of-a-kind, only in San Francisco treat that lives up to its wild reputation…
Yes, take the Caltrain up, yet depending on where in the city you need to go, you might have to exit the train at the Millbrae station and take B.A.R.T. to get to where you need to go. Caltrain really only has one major stop in downtown (the final one).
You could take Caltrain to that station and get on the MUNI bus system to take you were you need to go.
