Painfully Hip was started in February 2007 as a cure for Amber’s at-work boredom. Eve joined in with her sisterly dynamism in early April. The response has been quick and spectacular. 2 months later we became a member of Coutorture and were featured on Elle Magazine’s website! Now we are averaging about 1,200 readers a day and counting!
We’ve recently been included as number 19 in Shiny Media’s Top 100 Fashion Blogs and will also be featured in an upcoming book by author and blogger Vicky Zhou as one of the 500 most interesting blogs on the web!
Amber might describe her style as vintage boho glam with 60’s tendencies. Eve is more folk-rock chic with a 70’s edge. We are both mad about prints, color and unrepentant personal style.
