Its all about balance. A floaty, girly trapeze top with cutesy peterpan collar and floppy bowtie combined with fierce, sculptural boots, tough jacket and body-conscious jeans = the outfit equivalent of a dominatrix bunnyrabbit. In a good way.

Ah, ankle booties. Edgy, modern… and, in most cases, totally unflattering. The way they awkwardly cut your feet off so that, unless you were blessed with waif-like ankles, they make you kinda look like you have …hooves? Enter, the heeled nude ankle bootie. Optically extend the leg, enhance those calves, and be edgy and modern [...]

Painfully Hip and Forkable Blog’s collaborative dinner party event, Forkably Hip was absolutely divine. I met some really amazing people and manged on some cripplingly delicious food. Sorry, but you really missed out if you weren’t there. I’m pretty sure i had a mini aneurism when that dessert hit my lips.

The Oktoberfest in Frankenmuth, Michigan (aka Funtown, USA) was completely outta pocket! I had bought this beautifully made vintage bustier drindl with flourescent pink flowers of love from my friend Jen’s amazing store, Thunderhorse Vintage (17th & L in back of Bows & Arrows, Sacramento) for the occasion, but I was pretty sure the corseting [...]

So far nothing has been able to get me excited about fall weather until now. Suddenly I’m craving tapestry, tights, and mismatched leather like nobody’s business. This outfit is as rich as an overly custardy tiramisu.

etsy enthusiast, reconstructionist described missemmapeel’s outfit, with her layered tops and belt as headband, as very “urban tribal warrior princess.” i think she just looks incorrigibly hip, to the point where if she got any hipper every dive bar in the US would name a drink after her.

This can’t possibly be as simple as it looks, can it? I’m pretty sure some alterations would have to be done to make an oversized shirt fit so well in the shoulders… this plaid consists of the most divine color-combination I’ve seen in a fortnight. Or 12.
